Friday after
Hey all.......................how was Thanksgiving? It is now the day after Thanksgiving, well, at this point it is 2 days after. Not sure how your day went, but mine was somewhat eventful. My wife prepared a dish that we were taking with us to my parents for dinner. We got everything in the truck, including my PC as I was not going to set for hours doing nothing except eat and watch television.
We got in the truck and low and behold, it would not start. It was cranking over, but it would not start. So, after about 20 minutes of this, the battery was no longer doing me any good. I was freaking pissed! Why, on Thanksgiving, was it time for something to go wrong. Why not the day before as I was heading out for work. That would have been a day off with a valid reason.
Fortunately, my neighbor across the street was home and offered to let us use his car. I was mad at first and told him "no", but after I calmed down and realized that no matter what I did, at this point the truck was not moving, I used his car. He is becoming a very good friend lately and I appreciate them more than they know.
So today when I got up, I decided to try the truck again, but no such luck. I tinkered with it for a bit and then called AAA to give me a jump. That didn't work either. I asked my next door neighbor if he could give me a ride to the auto parts store to check the battery. As this could get lengthy, after 3 trips to the auto store, I ended up with a new battery and found out the MAP Sensor was bad. Right now, it appears to be running back as it was before all of this.
So far, this has been a pretty eventful holiday. Tomorrow I have a family reunion to go to. I am going to see family I haven't seen in quite a long time. It will be good times I am sure.
I have typed enough for one night. I may visit again before the weekend is over. Everyone have a great Thanksgiving holiday and happy surfing......................
