Something Different

So, the other day, Thursday to be exact, we went out with some friends to eat. We had been planning this for a few weeks and was looking forward to it. The friends, are actually our neighbors across the street. They have been there since we moved in, in March of last year. It hasn't been until the last Month or so that we have actually been hanging out. They invited us over, out of the blue one afternoon, to play cards. They asked about Euchre, for those that know what it is, but we ended up playing UNO. We taught Jenn how to play Euchre and she actually likes it. We've been hanging out quite a bit and they are really cool. We enjoy their company.
So we went out to eat with them. They invited us to a Korean restaurant that they go to occasionally. We have never been to anything like this before so of course we had questions. From the way they talked, it was the best place on earth to eat. They said the cost wasn't too bad, so I was expecting it to be a little more pricey than we are used to. It was about the same that we usually spend when we go out so it wasn't real bad.
I was expecting the food to be along the lines of Chinese. They had some of the same types of food, but then there were some that wasn't. I can't remember the name of the dish I had, but it was very good. They seem to use lots of vegetables and spices in their dishes. Some vegetables, I would not have expected, like Turnips. I tried Tofu for the first time and it was ok. Not something I would eat on a regular basis. For the most part it was good food and I think we would eat there again, if I could remember how to get there.
I was a little skeptical at first because of it being something not of the "norm" for us, but I am glad we went. Turned out to be an experience. So for those out there reading, go out and try something different. You may find you really like it. Enough for now..........happy sufing...................................bye!
