Daily Driving..............sort of
Hello all..............
For anyone who reads, some time ago I was ranting about daily driving things that piss me off. One of the subjects was, people being on cell phones while driving. I am going to revisit this issue for just a moment so as to add yet another reason for NOT being on the phone while driving.
My wife and I were on the way to pick up my kids after work yesterday, when we witnessed a cell phone related tragedy. We were passing by the 4-H Fairgrounds when I (being the passenger) noticed a deer running towards the road. It was a little ways off at the time I seen it, but it was losing no ground in its sprint. I noticed a van about 2 car lengths in front of us with the DRIVER, as you can guess, ON A CELL PHONE!!! Keep in mind this was happening rather quickly. As the deer just started to cross the road, the van barely put on their brakes as the DIPSHIT probably seen the deer at the last minute, but it was too late. YES, the dumbass hit the deer. My wife, being the animal lover she is, was about to blow a gasket and crying over what we just witnessed.
I was infuriated, but not so much that the deer was hit, but because of the reason behind it. Deers are turned to roadkill every day but not typically in a residential area. It just amazes me how much a persons attentionn is taken away from driving and EVERY responsibility that goes with it when they are on the phone. As we slowly drove past the accident, I yelled at the lady, asking her why in the hell she didn't see the deer. My wife, yelled out, calling her a dumbass!! I agreed. I understand that their may be emergencies when MAYBE you need to be on the phone, but PAY ATTENTION DAMMIT!!!!!!
Anyhow, the deer was moving around and trying to get up, so I am not sure if it actually passed on or not. Either way, it's not something I want to see on a regular basis.
