Weather

Well everyone, the time has come once again in our wonderful OHIO Valley. SNOW or white evil as I like to call it. As usual, they were out on the roadways hours beforehand getting ready to salt the shit out of the roads. The only drawback is, yes as the weather goes here, it is going to freeze. We have freezing rain mixed with snow coming in right behind the main snowstorm. We are supposed to be getting anywhere from 6 to 10 inches. Just fucking great.
That means schools will be closed because everyone is scared to death to drive in the snow in this area. The unfortunate part of that is, my wife is one of those scared individuals and I am incapacitated at the moment. My knee is not quite ready for me to drive so I am at her mercy as far as driving goes.
I start physical therapy Wed. on my road to recovery from the surgery. I am only hoping it isn't TOO painful. I will get it done either way because I am really about over the damned crutches and pain pills. I really do not enjoy being a gimp (run Forrest!!!). My movement is an utter crawl compared to my norm. SUCKS!!
Everyone enjoy your evening and happy surfing..........

A Thought and then some...............

Hello all. How has everyone been? Good I hope!
Tonights post was sparked by one of the daily routines at home..............garbage. I know that in every household, there is a trash can of some shape or size in the kitchen, normally. What I am giving my thought/opinion on is not about any particular size of trash can, but i am pretty sure it will cover them all.
First, I am one that hates to waste space in a trash can. I understand that too much in a garbage bag could mean disaster, but I think there should be some understood rules. Why throw a milk carton (gallon size) in the garbage without smashing it flat beforehand. If you are one of the families that use more than a gallon a week, you are using a lot of garbage bag space for air. Smash the milk carton flat and put the lid on it to keep it from sucking air back in, and then throw it away. Same goes for any container of such size that has no more than air trapped inside. If you have such things as coffee containers, maybe throw some smaller trash in that and fill it up. Then throw that in the garbage can. This way you aren't really wasting space.
One thing I really hate is finding a pizza box shoved down in the can. That is a waste of space and also takes the risk of tearing the garbage bag in the process. Take the pizza box out to the BIG garbage can that gets picked up every week.
One thing I hate putting in the can is old refridgerator food. I know it goes there, but when that week rolls around, there is so much old, nasty, rotten, penicillian covered food in there, it weighs what seems like 100Lbs. You practically need a crane to lift it out and get it to the BIG can outside. Just a thought.......................

I had knee surgery a week ago. Was not fun. I am actually starting to walk on it a little. I have a nice big cut up the front of my knee because I chose to use my own tissue to reconstruct the ACL ligament. I was at the hospital for about 7 hours total. Surgery was about 1.5 to 2 hours. It went well and hopefully after starting therapy next week, I will be walking normally again in about 6 weeks.

Not much else going on at the moment so I think I am going to game for a bit and then get some sleep. Later all and as always.................happy surfing.........
