Anniversary Update

Well, fellow bloggers, Yes, it is here. Today is my 5th wedding anniversary! And guess what?! Didn't do a damned thing or exchange anything for gifts. NO, not even that! We had to work and money is tight at the moment so we will try and do something later.
The kicker to the whole thing......my son, who was supposed to be coming to live with me, told me yesterday and today that he wants to go back home. I was heartbroken. Still am heartbroken. I won't even begin to comment on the whole thing, but I think it is a mistake and BULLSHIT to boot. He won't give a reason why and he is acting sneaky all of a sudden. I am taking my own measures to find out what is going on. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
My youngest son told me the other day that he wants to do what I do when he grows up. I am a design engineer using CAD type software. Pretty cool stuff. Especially as I designed a skateboard truck part for my oldest son and having them made for free. I hope he really does want to have a career doing what I am doing. That will be cool.
OK, I am going to play a game for a bit and then go to bed.

Summer Is Here!!

Man it has been a while since my last visit. Guess I need to fill in some blanks. My daughter is now about 4 1/2 months old. She is setting up by herself and now eating rice cereal. She is growing so fast these days. She is almost 20 lbs and seems to be growing like a weed.
We got my deck finished at the end of the 3rd day. It was a lot of work but it looks nice and we have used it quite a bit. The TIKI torches mounted in the 4 corner posts really give it a nice touch. But, honestly, they don't always help out with the little bloodsucking bastards. The first few times we were out after dark, they worked rather well. The last time we were out, it didn't seem to phase them. Have to figure something else out. We love to sit outside, but my wife seems to be the main target of the skeeters and she gets really big welts from the bites.
My boys are here for a few weeks and I am glad. I miss them a lot thru the year as they live about 400 miles away and I can't visit them like I want. My oldest son, though, is here with me for good. I have to care of the legal side of that yet, but because she is cooperating now, it will be much cheaper. Hope to have that done in the next few weeks. Well, my fellow bloggers, it is late and I have to work tomorrow. I am headed for dreamland.
